Scale: 1:48. Full hull model of the Mary Rose (1509), a 60 gun sailing warship. The model is decked, equipped, and rigged. The hull is finished in a natural varnished wood of varying types, with the lighter wood used for the upper deck planking, bulwarks, masts and spars. Both the standing and running rigging has been left in the natural state of the cord, including the wooden blocks and deadeyes. The rig consists of a bowsprit, five masts complete with circular fighting tops, square-rigged on the fore and main masts, lateen on the mizzen and bonaventure masts. It is also complete with a variety of armaments on both decks as well as the forecastle and quarter deck. The cannons are turned in brass which has been bronzed, and are all mounted on a variety of wooden carriages. There is also a pair of large anchors rigged to rope cables and stowed along the channels. The whole model is mounted on a pair of wooden crutches on its original display baseboard.
