It delivers both romance and comedy. I love the mangakas art style and (I don't know if anyone felt the same way) she drew the character's expression so well, especially the eyes and eyebrows. The comedy is over the top, siding more with the early anime/manga perverted comedy. The relationship between the main characters I loved and even the platonic relationships with the side characters are well written. It touches upon topics of guilt and how people deal with the passing of someone important to them.

My gripes:
- I wish they give more context on how Kurosaki develops his strong romantic feelings for Teru, like it made sense for Teru and I'm not gonna settle with .
- It never felt to me that the stakes were high. The antagonists were not antagonizing very well.
- The lack of screen time for Soichiro and . I get the gist of their dynamic from the short time their relationship was shown, and it greatly humanizes Soichiro. Just wished it was established more.

End of my gripes. I don't know a lot about computers, so I can overlook the hacking and cracking part easily. People who are uncomfortable with age-gap (with a minor and an adult), why are you even here? AND YES 'Daisy Bell' is now stuck in my head.

I started reading it probably in 2012 or 14 while it was still ongoing as far as I remember. I enjoyed it quite a lot back then. Even with the age gap between the characters, it didn't seem too weird. However, perspectives have changed over the years.
If you can get past the dynamic of their age gap and the art, it has a pretty interesting plot for a shoujo manga. Not a bad read

Part/s I liked:

-The story has transitioned from having one obvious goal in mind to uncovering a much more serious issue. Revealing Kurosaki Tasuku’s real identity was just the tip of the iceberg, and of course we somehow expected that there was more to his past and the people surrounding him.

-Character design? Well, I kind of liked Tasuku’s art; he is so freaking hot!

-Character and story development. The author never intended to hide Daisy’s identity from the readers and that’s fine. What mattered was how Kurosaki was supposed to play both the lolicon janitor and the mysterious benefactor without giving himself away. I didn’t expect the big reveal to be a little early in the story, but again, it was just the entrance in a tunnel. The revelation was just to prepare everyone for a darker road concerning Kurosaki and Teru’s past.

-Romance. I have read a lot of shoujo manga where the FL was initially having troubles sorting her feelings out, but Teru was outspoken on her feelings for Kurosaki and vice versa. I was glad that it didn't add to the drama that could potentially hinder a much more important piece of the story.

Part/s I didn’t like so much:

-Deus ex machina. Whenever something big came up, it seemed too good to be true. To me, it felt like it was forced. While I did love the progress (the result, how it turned out) of the story as contrary to what I just said, what I didn’t like was the WAY it was handled. I kept thinking that if those tiny details didn’t happen in the first place, there was no way the story would move forward. It was as if the next parts of the story relied on a simple incident and I didn’t like how unnatural that went.

+ The male and female MC, as well as the support cast, are quite likable
+ great shojo manga

- should have had only 8 volumes or so (halfway through it becomes kind of boring)
- terrible mystery and action scenes

Still, if you have time and want an actual nice shoujo, read the first half and stop before the "M's testament" arc

Good events yet I would like for more chapters to explain more about characters and their relationship ans past tbh some of information that was mentioned I still don't got it, I like their romance tho, I wished for more pain also 🤣

Pros: Fluff. Enough pining and drama to keep you engaged for a time. Avoids a few cliches but...

Cons:
1. The manga is bloated. The story should have ended in max 15 chapters.
2. There are walls of text, interactions and flashbacks that add 0 nuance or insight into the story
3. Author made a bad decision to write crime drama sub genre, with ZERO ability to draw anything beyond blushing faces. If she spent more effort learning to draw action scenes instead of useless stencilled background every panel she might have made a more convincing story. The action art is beyond disgusting. This author is adding to the "women can't draw action scenes" stereotype. [Begs forgiveness from FMA author-sama]
4. The entire crime-drama genre was a shallow, lazy and poorly written device to drag the manga on and on and on.
5. The villains placements are terrible. It's like their entire motives amounted to nothing more than getting in MCs way of getting hooked up. How conceited do you have to be to expect pro hackers and shite to devote their entire life to get in the way of your love life?

This isn't trashiest trash. But it's 4 out of 10 for wasting people's time with nonsense.

This was one of the very first shoujo mangas I thoroughly enjoyed. Teru is such a likable heroine. She has her stupid times but overall she's competent and reliable--that's probably why she's a scholar. I've read this a long time ago, and I still hope that people will come to appreciate this manga. It has a unique storyline and really interesting characters.

The story is not cliché. I really love Kurosaki!!!! You guys should read this.

This is THE greatest shoujo I have read in my lifetime, and I've read hundreds of series! I cried, I laughed, I smiled, I felt warmth in my heart. It is a masterclass in storytelling.

Kyousuke Motomi knows how to inject psychological elements and unique character motivation to make an incredibly thoughful and complex story. And there's so much depth to the story. Complex relationships and deep themes are explored throughout all events. Multiple times in the story characters are motivated towards betrayal or evil deeds (such as vol. 2). Characters have clear motivation and have complex reasoning for their actions, and other characters respond accordingly.

1. Teru is my favorite female character in any work. She's the perfect example of how to do a female MC.
2. Kurosuki's backstory in volume 8 is tied for my favorite narrative backstory for a character (tied with Kekkaishi's vol 8 backstory for Gen Shishio).
3. The explanation for Sou's death... again, masterclass in writing. I think about that logical and believable but still gut-wrenching explanation countless times.

If I had to change anything about the series, while virtually everything in the series was flawless, I would make these tiny changes:
1. I would change the scene towards the end in the bio classroom, because it was unrealistic
2. Different explanation for the SIM card Sou left
3.
4. Some scenes in the way end felt very action-movie in a way that didn't fit the style of the work so far

Anyways, I could go on about the triumphs of this series but just read it yourself and have your life changed.

I cried at least 10 times I'm not even joking.

This manga was such a journey. I'm going to say off the bat that not everyone is going to enjoy this because it's definitely a shoujo but it's not your usual sappy high school romance. It's more about the drama and development of relationships and characters more than the romance.
I think the most important thing is that you can't go into this expecting romance. because you won't find it that easily. Teru and Kurosaki's relationship develops through their struggles and insecurities, situations thrown at them and how they deal with it together and not through your typical blushy atmospheric scenes where they swear their love for eachother. Yes, the romance is there but it's there in a less obvious and, in my opinion, a much more realistic way than your usual shoujo. That's one of the things that made me love this couple.

Leading on, Teru and Kurosaki are honestly one of the most believable couples out there. During the whole of the manga, you can see their relationship get stronger and stronger because of such situations. I can say the same to the main characters too. Teru has an amazing character development and so does Kurosaki, they learn to trust. All in all, some of the best characterisations I've ever read.

The story is confusing as hell at times. It's intricate and interesting but I can see how some say it drags on and gets boring. There are a lot of sharp turns and things jump from one way to another quite quickly and I had to go over some chapters again to try and figure out what the story was trying to say. The explanations are wordy and use terminology that I didn't understand but in the end, it's worth it to understand.

I gave it a solid 10 although I do have to say, And more fluffy romance scenes would have been nice. Anyway serious review over my god imdying I love them so much.This manga,,, this manga left me in a pool of feels and tears. It's one of those reads you can't get over and you wish never ended ugh. I love. Kurosaki and Teru. What am I going to do with my life now
