Glad your liking the API. They are so easy use it makes you wonder if your doing it right or if the results are accurate. They are also so cheap it makes you wonder if they are worth buying. I use API after salifert's inaccurate readings. What a waste of money.

Thanks Josh - yeah the results are much closer when you used a larger test tube (the API testtube is too skinny) I'm so please as this means BIG saving on testkit for me lol as I test basically weekly

Ed,
Just wanted to say that your new tank set-up is spectacular. I've enjoyed following along; your last set-up gave me a lot of inspiration for my new set-up which can be seen here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1711934 Don't get me wrong - this is not a hijack - but you can obviously see your influence in my new set-up. Thanks for documenting your work so thoroughly and giving me some great ideas! Brad

The plan vs. Reality
OK, I decided to do a recap on the whole planning and see how close I achieve my dreams and goal combine.
The Dream: Dream is to create a natural set-up combining of mountain, sea, plants, fishes and corals – all in one The Objective: Objective is to focus on simplicity and modern looking shallow natural reef crest in my home. From Ideas to Reality: Draft whole set-up..... Actual whole set-up.... Draft Scape – top view..... Actual Scape – top view......

From Schematic to Execution:
Tank Rendering..... Stand Rendering...... Cabinet Stand Display...... The Theme: “Lost Horizon” - so what do you al think?? Pretty close to my dreams and objective, I must say ~ Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and most importantly having fun. ~

From that first picture (finally catching up on your thread), it looks like you've added a small tree over the overflow. Is it a bonsai tree?

Ed, how cool would it be if you put a cover on the entire tank, above the water but beneath the "mountain" and you put a train track and had a toy train go around the top of the tank. THen it really would be encompassing every aspect of earth, mountains, land and sea ; )

Ed, thank you for reposting that project. I can't believe you glued the needles back onto a dead branch. That's awesome.

Once the rocks start to take up green moss and tiny plants, it will look really natural and blend in much better (hopefully)
