Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar's major releases could be squaring up to each other at the box office.

The actors will be seen later this year in Chennai Express and Once Upon A Time in Mumbai 2.

Cinema spokesman Pinky Badlani told Mumbai Mirror: "YRF has set the trend [for box office battle]. Now, UTV is doing it. It seems they just want to kill the prospects of Once Upon A Time...."

"I will do exactly what other single screens do. I will not sit on the fence."

Chennai Express producers UTV have reportedly told cinema owners that they must buy the film with the company's other big release Himmatwala.

Ajay Devgan filed a complaint against Yash Raj Films last year for allegedly paying cinema distributors to show Jab Tak Hai Haan.

The Himmatwala star has said that he wanted to stop Bollywood being monopolised by big production houses.
