Accrington Stanley 2-0 Port Vale

Accrington Stanley made it two wins out of two after Padraig Amond's penalty and James Gray's injury-time goal sealed victory over Port Vale.

Accrington keeper Ian Dunbavin pulled off a superb save from Louis Dodds before Amond scored from the spot.

Sam Morsy almost levelled but a combination of Dunbavin and Luke Joyce scrambled his close-range effort away.

Clayton McDonald also saw his fierce strike punched to safety before Gray found the net from just inside the box.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Accrington striker James Gray told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"It was a team effort. I came on and scored but the lads were terrific.

"(Goalkeeper) Ian Dunbavin was terrific again and man of the match again.

"Southend and Port Vale are two of the biggest clubs in the league, so you can see that all the lads are buzzing with the two wins and we can't wait for Exeter now."
