MKVToolnix

MKVToolnix, as the name might suggest, deals with Matroska or MKW files for short. The program can take apart, allow a variety of adjustments and improvements, and also change certain associated files included in the package. I won't lie to you. This program was designed for those users with at least part of the video and media-file-related know-how. It is not a difficult-to-handle application, but in the end, you will need the extra expertise to use it at its maximum potential.

One thing you'll immediately notice is how well-arranged all of the options are within this program. In my opinion, it seems that the way this program looks, it was designed to be more of a tool and less of a friendly application designed for all users. Regardless, all one has to do is add the MKW file in question and then proceed to either read or adjust some of the properties including the track name, tags language, and default flags.

Codecs can be easily viewed and altered, keeping in mind that multiple MKV files can be present at the same time while being ready for editing. The destination app for the resulting file can also be added. A progress bar will let you know once the procedure is launched and the remaining time until the task is completed.

The user can easily add more than one job to the queue and proceed to another task in preparation for other future jobs. The job queue can be viewed at any given time and also altered or adjusted depending on your needs or desires. Lastly, I would also like to point out that the header and chapter editor are also helpful in further changing your product's look and feel.

MKVToolnix is indeed a complete set of tools for editing MKW files in any imaginable way. It is not as intuitive and might require a bit of work on the user's side, but in the end, this all works in your favor as you end up harnessing the program's full capabilities.
