As India celebrated its 67th Republic Day, Akshay tweeted a picture holding the national flag and tweeted “Just holding this flag swells up ur chest in pride. She did what no other country did for its people #HappyRepublicDay”
The superstar’s latest release ‘Airlift’ has collected Rs 72.5 crore at the box office and recorded its best collections of Republic Day.

I can’t describe my feelings about India and Indian flag when the scene come in movie when the Indian flag rise on Indian embassy. The scene was such a brilliantly made, when your emotions are all time high. After leaving the theatre the only feeling that comes to your mind,heart & soul is “Proud to be an Indian and blessed to live in this great country”. Couldn’t expect more from a movie which deals on patriotism with real story as backdrop. Akshay did what which Khans are not able to do for many in this so called intolerance debate. Hats off to him and Airlift team.

Watched it 2 times,on the first day and yesterday too but could’nt post my review here..
One of Akki’s best performance undoubtedly.
Though the 1st half is slow and I believe it’s not a perfect film but still it’s a must watch in a theatre.People are loving it,they are cheering when the flag is hoisted at the airport..
Personally I loved Special 26 and Baby more than it but it does’nt mean that Airlift was a bad film.

What is wrong when he says he loves India ? Just because Aamir and Srk don’t want to say that and label India as intolerant, he also has freedom of speech…Even if he is doing for publicity, does not matter as this is very positive…I can very well say even aamir and srk had vested interests when they did not choose india…did salman or saif say something like that ? No right ?
