Dear lowvolga, why Qrim? Could You please explain?
S.A.Yanina has oppinion that coin same style like "balance" and "pitcher" from Sarai. V.Klokov and V.lebedev suppose that coin was mint in very last period of XIV century. Coin has no mint mark, even readable character. That coin has come from Selitrennoe site

Dear Student!
I would agree with Evgeny's attribution.
Such coins are widely spread from Middle Volga up to Crimea, including Kuban and Azaq regions.
No one has ever explored the dies withih this issue. Maybe, there will be discovered some differences between the Volga and Crimea issues, as we can see among the "rosette" types depicted by V. Lebedev.
Anyway, I can hardly remember such coins countermarked in the Volga region, but there are lots of them in the Crimea (particularly Genuese).

Well, quite similar type of Juchid copper exists, with the same ornamental obverse, but with clearly readable "darb Sarai" at reverse. Whereas here we can see only unreadable simbols possibly pretending that legend. As for me, this type could be considered as Qrimean immitation of that original Sarai type.

My mistake! The legend is not an immitative 'darb Sarai', but mirrored 'al-mulk Allahu'. Similar to #36162

May I suggest that this type of coin (and probably some other anonymous issues) may have been minted in Qrim between 762 and 782 AH under Mamai ?
- The territory he controlled seems to correspond to the area where most of those coins are found
- coins were probably minted during this period but we don't have any dated puls attributed to Qrim yet
- Mamai wasn't a khan, so he may have prefered to mint anonymous coins to avoid some troubles (he wasn't legetimate enough to be a ruler of the golden horde and we already know he proclaimed somes puppets khans to protect his status)
- Coins of this type seems to be found among coins of Jani Beg and Tokhtamysh
- Metric datas match with the coinage of the Golden Horde for this period
- The style of observe can be related to other coins minted during this period like zeno #37051 (abstract design with horizontal and vertical symetry)
