SXV- RRV Conversion

I wanted to post pictures of the conversion I am doing on my SXV 5.5 to a Roadracer. I got most of my parts from Ian Newton in the UK, but am waiting for some from Geoff at GP Tech, Exhaust from Ian, and some odds and ends from ebay.

Started by stripping the plastic, tank, seat, silmoto exhaust, front end, subframe, and about 75 left over bolts. (Silmoto will be for sale) Got GSXR front end, GSXR front wheel, new subframe, rearset relocator bracket, clip ons, body work. Will get the forks resprung/vales, and new spring on the rear. Still waiting on the stem to be removed and pressed before installing the forks. Here are some pics- I will update as I get more parts and hopefully compete this soon.

I have the Silmoto (steel), all of the plastic, front forks, front caliper, front wheel with rotor, stock subframe, handlebars, acerbis hand guards, stock exhaust, and stock (small) gas tank for sale. I will be posting on ebay, but if anyone wants to buy parts just email me seankomarmy@gmail.com or pm with an offer. More pics to come of the build as I get parts and start putting it back together.

Thanks- I picked up the triples from the machine shop this morning and should get the rear set bracket today. More pics tonight.

I was hoping to get $200 for the complete set. (tail, sides, radiator scoop, front fender light housing) I will take pictures tonight and post in the parts for sale section and on ebay.

I sent you PM about the plastics, but I really just want the radiator shrouds.

Are you racing this thing in the AFM? I thought about racing mine, but I don't think it will be competitive with me on it!

Several parts are now on Ebay-
Tank, forks, subframe, triple clamps, handle bars and hand guards.. Silmoto will be up there soon. Thanks

Front end is on- Marchesini wheel, CF fender- Brakes and clip ons next, then rear sets, bodywork, take it back apart revalve-respring forks, hopefully find a rear Marchesini, and Done.

where did you get the gas tank?? i am interested in getting one myself. also i want your stock subframe , how much do you want

Subframe is on ebay right now- ending tonight or tomorrow.. I got all of the conversion parts (with the exeption of front end) from Ian Newton @ IN Competition in the UK. His prices are very reasonable, but Shipping is $$$$... I also got some parts from Geoff at GP Tech- (USA) He makes clip ons, Rear set brackets, and fairing mounting stuff.. very good guy- easy to work with and extremely helpfull!

I bought the radiator shroud plastics from Sean and I couldn't be happier. Great guy to deal with and the stuff was in excellent condition.

Can't wait to see the finished product!
