EXCLUSIVE: @iamsrk WON'T ATTEND IIFA THIS YEAR
Here's the official statement sent by Shah Rukh Khan's office to this writer:-
"There have been rumors doing the rounds that Shah Rukh Khan will be attending the IIFA ceremony in Singapore this year. Unfortunately, these rumors are completely baseless. Shah Rukh Khan is leaving for London this weekend, he is going there for the shooting of Yash Chopra's next and will be joined by his family. His kids Aryan and Suhana have their vacation and like every year will be on their annual vacation in London this year too.
"The rumours of Shah Rukh and his family being at IIFA has got many of his fans excited and they have been making constant inquires, but this is to clarify to everyone that Shah Rukh is in London shooting for Yash Chopra. He will be joined by Katrina Kaif and Anushkha Sharma a few days later."
On his part, Sabbas Joseph, one of the founder directors of Wizcraft International Entertainment, tells me:
"Everyone's invited. However, the shooting schedules cannot be changed. SRK has supported IIFA always. Last year, despite his injured knee, he braved the pain and performed on stage to the delight of a packed stadium. He is shooting with Yashji and their shooting schedule is very tight. It was impossible for Shah Rukh to join us this year."
