Is this a special writing for the numeral "4" ?

What I see on the left image under muh.ammad xān really looks like 775, just with slightly bent and shortened 7 (both digits). But there may be another group of figures, namely on the right image at 9-o'clock position (under لـله), where a character is placed absolutely fit for "Persian" 4. Unfortunately, no more of the following part has been preserved.

I agree - 775 on obverse and 774 on reverse. It seems to be unique!
There are two another types: one, with date 777 of obverse and another, without any date of obverse - and both with 774 on reverse.

Seems that there is a variety of Batu clan tamgha at the right side, so it should be rotated CCW.

It is probably a tamgha, but its orientation could be as suggested above, are you sure with your choice, was it published elsewhere?

I don't know about exactly such tamgha (may be "Jujid" community will add reference). But usual orientation of Batu-type tamgha is as I mentioned above.

I guess, this is not Batu tamgha, but a taraqi-tamgha of Tugha-Timur, i.e., a kind of tri-dental one. So Vladimir Suchy seems to be right
