Darth Vader could come to power for real.

The BBC reports that 16 men named after the “Star Wars” character are running for parliamentary elections in Ukraine later this month.

In addition, a Chewbacca and Grand Jedi Master Yoda will stand in the snap October 26 polls.

The would-be parliamentarians also have their own ads. One billboard featuring Chewbacca shows the hairy character promising to “slap the hairy hand of corruption”.

Seven of the Darth Vaders, Yoda and Chewbacca have been nominated for parliament by the Internet Party.

The election will take place as the crisis continues in east Ukraine where soldiers are fighting Russian separatists.

It was called by Ukraine’s president Petro Poroshenko following his election in May.
