Th annual inflation rate in the Netherlands slowed to 2.7% in April 2024 from 3.1% in the previous month, preliminary estimates showed. The downward pressure came mainly from the continued deflation for industrial goods (-0.8% vs -0.2% in March). At the same time, prices ticked lower for energy including motor fuels (3.3% vs 3.7%), and services (4% vs 4.6%). Conversely, prices increased at a faster pace for food, beverages & tobacco (3.2% vs 2.8%).
