If you've been following Developments in Devokan, a fan-fiction thread in the Creativity section, you might have noticed in the last few months that various fan-created ages feature in the twists and turns of the plot.

These are Andy Legate's Neolbah and Serene, and Ahra Pahts Shell 415 developed by Ametist and D'Lanor.

In the last week or so, a major storyline has been brewing. Read on from Andy's post on 17 November to get an idea of what has happened.

Then, if you have access to fan ages via Uru:CC or a shard, to follow the story in-world, try the order Neolbah, Ahra Pahts Shell 415, Serene.

I'm pleased to announce that Shell 415 of Ahra Pahts is now complete!

It includes Quin's lab, an experiment to replicate, puzzles to solve, more story, and ...

For those that like puzzles but not story:
all you need to know is in the Trust Logbook on Quin's desk or hidden somewhere in the shell.
For those that like following a story, start in the office in Andy's Neolbah, then follow the Trust Logbook in Shell 415 for the chronological order of events and Ages. The journals give more background to what was happening, their entries having been written more or less in real time.

Credits to ametist and D'Lanor for all their work in modelling, texturing, coding, sound engineering, music compositions and bug-squashing. None of this would have happened without their patient, painstaking work. I've enjoyed working with them both. :)

Update: Shell 415 is now open for visitors.

    I should have said before that, by using a method developed by D'Lanor, some of the journals in Shell 415 can be updated automatically with the latest developments without having to re-download the complete age of Ahra Pahts.

    Instructions on how to enable this are on the last page of each relevant journal -- it's totally optional, and under your control the whole time. All that happens is that the revised journal text is picked up from a website.

    Why bother? Because a new story is breaking, and even I don't know what is going to happen!

    Quin's current journal gives the details...

    =====
    Note: The possibilities afforded by dynamic journals to non-Age-writing story-tellers for in-world, day-by-day story delivery are tremendous. I remember the excitement in MOUL that accompanied new entries to Sharper's journal. Dynamic journals potentially enable something similar in fan ages.
