More damage before fear breaks, and the new snare-fear? Ouch, we're going to be even less popular in PvP with this thing.

I would like to note that you CANNOT stack several glyphs of the same type to increase the effect. Upon attempting to inscribe a duplicate Glyph at the Lexicon of Power you recieve the message:

"That Glyph is already inscribed in your spellbook."

It will not, because Howl of Terror gives a "Horror" effect, not a "Fear" effect. Same basic result, but the two debuffs are classed differently.

Howl of Terror is a Fear effect, not a horror. This glyph does not work in conjunction with Howl of Terror, as it's talking about Fear the skill, not the effect. Recently confirmed on my Warlock.

"Increases the damage your Fear target can take before the Fear effect is removed by 20%."

this is only for direct damaging spells isn't it? hopefully DoTs won't cause an early break now. if they changed the fear break formula as this wording suggest.. it could be a huge nerf on fear...again..

the way I see it is that this makes your haunts less likely to cause an early break on fear.. or if the warlock isn't affliction and spams heavy hitting nukes.. either way, this needs proper testing to verify wether its a nerf or a buff

It seems that Blizzard is changing this glyph's functionality for the better. Come Cataclysm, the fear effect enhanced with this glyph will cause them to tremble in place instead of run wildly around (with the price of fear having a 5 second cooldown). I imagine this will come in mighty handy in instances.

Strictly better than Polymorph with this glyph. No one will need to cast it twice in 5 secs so it's not a notable drawback.

the new version of this glyph seems to be mostly PvE orientated as opposed to the previous version (+20% damage before fear breaks)

With the renewed importance in Cataclysm being put on crowd control, especially in Heroics, this glyph is invaluable. I can fear one mob and banish or seduce a second, greatly adding to group control.

is really sad that blizz forgot something really important with this glyph.

when hunters use Scatter Shot, the auto attack is stopped, same for traps, so the hunter´s CC rocks.

the first time that I use my new shiny CC, I was trying too see who was breaking my fear in our group. I though was the mage because I see that the feared mob was getting a hit by a fireball almost instantly being feared, but the horror comes that I was the noob who was breaking the CC. yep, my Imp not read the patch notes and still attacks the feared target. :(

so, I think, well I can put the imp in passive, or better yet, send him to attack the skull marked target (when I get a good enough tank that actually marks), but in the first case is loose one valuable second turning the imp into defensive right after I attack another target, and in the second case, when the skull marked die, the stupid Imp go and attack to the feared one, breaking the fear and letting me as the noob of the group.

the definitely solution was left the imp in passive when fear is required, lowering my already low dps, so I choose no use the glyph until blizzard do something about my brainless machine gun making him stop attacking when I cast fear if I have this glyph. they do an awesome work with banish. I even not probe with other pets because I'm sure that is the same thing, even worst because they will go to attack and get aggro of undesired pat or something.

the bad thing is when ask me about the glyph and I say I dont have it, people start flaming me, calling me noob and even once I got kicked from the group

so locks, remember put passive your pets if you still using this glyph after know this, and blizzard, please do something about it. :(((

This glyph should be one of your Major Glyph's because of its usefullness in dungeons and raids in Cata

I would like to point out something that I have not seen anywhere else for others new to the warlock class, or those who are looking at this glyph and wondering if it will make Fear function the same way Polymorph, Hibernate, Shackle and a Hunters Ice Trap/Wyvern Sting and other CC's now work.

The other classes CC can now be casts on mobs in dungeons without aggroing the rest of the pack. This unfortunately is NOT the case with fear. Even with this glyph, if you fear a target tethered to other hostile mobs, they will all aggro you immediately upon the fear spell landing. So make sure that if you are using this glyph, and fear to CC in a dungeon/heroic, that you allow the tank to pull first, THEN cc your target

Casting fear with or without this glyph DOES make you enter combat (Unlike Sap,Polymorph,Hex, etc)
