Warhammer Fantasy Battle Third Edition Pretty Pictures

Hi all,

I have just been ask by blue if I could share these images. They are scans from the original launch issue of WFB3 in WD95.

What we have here are a series of colour battle scenes (similar to the black and white ones in the rule book) that some of you may not have seen before.

How many classic models can you spot?

Been reading that issue of WD lately - lovely stuff.

Never spotted the hound rounding the side of the hill in the first pic - doesn't look like one of the Elven ones which is what I thought it was at first.

That Great Fire Dragon used to cause my Orcs all kinds of problems until Doomdivers were invented - doesn't seem right now with it looking all noble there! :lol:

Many of them were reused in other pictures...in the armies book etc. just great stuff. I might have to find that issue just for the pics. I believe that the earliest WD I bought off the news stand was 100

As an Undead player that photo inspired me no end, it's definitely my favourite diorama from 3rd edition. :)

Have to revive this 3 year old post..........

Can't agree with Christian more! I was 11ish when 3rd edition was released and I used to drool over this picture and day dream of owing an Undead army! Now all these years later I have a huge Undead Army and still drool over this picture (sad right hahahahahaaaaa)

Which one is that? ... and have you got it yet? :grin:

I never noticed the plastic dwarf in the middle of that picture before. :grin:
