Ex eBay.com, Item number: 3973903404:
Cataloged as KM 30 (11.7 gram). Issued by Khan Shahin Giray bin Ahmad Giray of the Giray Dynasty of Crimean Tartars. AH 1194 / 1780. Struck at the Baghchi-Seray mint.

In 1420 the Crimean ulus of the Golden Horde headed by Hajji Giray (AH 824-871/1420-1466 AD) had separated from Golden Horde, and the new khan established a new dynasty - Girays. Soon the Crimean Tartars had become vassals of the Ottoman Empire, then in the 18th century they came under the Russian protectorate and by the end of the 18th century the khanate was liquidated and its place a Tauric province of Russia was created. The early coinage of the Giray Khans of the Crimea consisted of small silver akces, probably following the Ottoman weight standard. Under the last ruler, Shahin Giray, who became a Russian vassal, a large number of denominations were introduced, modeled on contemporary Russian coins.

Shahin Giray was the last khan of the Giray dynasty. After his rule Crimea came under Russian domination. This is a seldom seen coin with nice patina.
