Stitched on 28ct black jobelan with all recommended threads (the central crystal has only been placed for the photo). The only downside of finishing is I've now got to wait 3 weeks for part 2!!!

Here is what I have done:
I started on January 18th, on black 32 ct, and I could put AALLLL the beads.

This is just a wonderfull mystery to stitch. I cant wait to have my part one done.

Part 1, stitched on lavender mist cashel linen. The outer gold part was painful - very detailed - but worth it in the end!

I don't have most of the beads yet and I'm missing one color of Petite Braid, so I can't do the backstitching yet.  But here is what I have so far.  This is on off-white Aida.

This picture will disappear when I finally have part 1 & 2 finished. I wanted to get a picture up of part 2 as soon as possible though. I used 2 strands on the long stitch/satin filling of the 3 due north lilies (stitching on 28ct light blue jobelan), think it covered fine. All the crystals & beads where attached with the holes east/west except for the crystals in the northwest/northeast lilies, those I attached on an angle to match the angle of the lilies. Part 2 is stitching fast so if you're a little behind on pt 1 (like me) you should be able to catch up this month.

Here is my part 2. I used 3 strands for the buds, and for the diamond eyelet buds I covered them twice as one strand wasn't enough on the black fabric. This design is looking spectacular so far and as normal the photos don't do it justice, but I have tried my best to capture the beauty!!! There are a few more pictures in the album if you click the photo.

Any words of wisdom for stitching on black.  It is gorgeous!!!   Rebecca
