The internet is in an emotional state of mind after a picture of a healthcare worker-couple surfaced on social media. Sudha Ramen of the Indian Forest Service shared the picture of the couple on Twitter and paid tribute to first responders, who are at the forefront of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The picture shows the couple, in hazmat suits, protective gear and gloves, holding each other's faces in an intense moment in the hospital.

"To all the healthcare personnel across the globe, salute. This picture of a couple who work day and night to fight Covid-19 speaks volumes. They can touch each other only when they are in protective gears," Sudha Ramen said in the caption of her post, adding that they are 'corona warriors'.

The picture, so far, has garnered over 700 likes and is being frequently circulated across social media.

Amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, emergency responders including doctors, nurses and healthcare workers are working tirelessly by putting their lives at stake to treat Covid-19 patients.

The novel coronavirus, which was first reported in China's Wuhan city in December 2019, has claimed over 82,000 lives globally and infected over 14 lakh people so far. The number of confirmed cases in India has crossed the 5000-mark while over 100 people have died due to Covid-19 in the country.
