Kim Da Mi And Park Hae Soo Confirmed To Star In Sci-Fi Disaster Film "Great Flood"

Kim Da Mi and Park Hae Soo will be starring in a sci-fi disaster blockbuster film!

On August 2, Netflix announced that Kim Da Mi and Park Hae Soo will be playing the lead roles in the original film “Great Flood,” which is written and directed by Kim Byung Woo. “Great Flood” is a sci-fi disaster blockbuster film which depicts the struggle of people trying to save humanity while in an apartment that is submerged in water following a great flood.

The film raises the anticipation of viewers as it will be directed by Kim Byung Woo, who received great reviews and won Best New Director at major domestic film festivals through his film “The Terror Live.”

The combination of actors with unrivaled aura and solid acting skills also adds to the curiosity for “Great Flood.” Kim Da Mi, who elicited the viewers’ sympathy with her delicate acting skills in the drama “Our Beloved Summer,” will take on the role of Anna, an artificial intelligence development researcher who struggles to survive within a great flood. Previously, Kim Da Mi left a strong impression through the film “The Witch: Part 1. Subversion” and the drama “Itaewon Class,” winning Best New Actress at various film festivals and awards ceremonies.

Park Hae Soo, who showed a wide range of acting through various projects such as “Squid Game,” “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations,” and “Money Heist,” will play the role of Hee Jo who works in the Human Resources Security Team, trying to rescue Anna from the great flood that threatens the entire planet.

Through the film’s portrayal of Hee Jo trying his best to save Anna from the great flood, the film further raises curiosity of the viewers to find out the reason behind his mission. The chemistry of the two actors, who are well known for their amazing performances, draws more anticipation.

The Light of Fantasy, which was founded by director Jeon Ryeo Kyung who worked together with Kim Byung Woo in “The Terror Live,” will be in charge of the production, foreshadowing the birth of another impressive film.
