Shortlisting#

All nominations received by 4 December 2020 will be grouped together into their entered categories and considered by a panel of experts within the Promoter. The top five Creations across each category or Creators will be included on the Final Nominee Shortlist subject to agreement by its creator(s) (“Final Nominees”). All decisions made by the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into as to why particular nominations were not included on the Final Nominee Shortlist. Nominations for each category will always be listed in alphabetical order.

Final Nominees#

Creators of shortlisted Creations and shortlisted Creators will be contacted on 9 January 2021. To participate in the final round, Creators must confirm in writing:

  • acceptance to be included on the Final Nominee Shortlist;
  • their Dreams Creation, relevant to the award category, is entirely their original work;
  • their Dreams Creation, relevant to the award category, does not infringe a third party’s intellectual property;
  • they consent to appear, and/or for their work to appear, during the Impy Awards Ceremony and within all other Impy Award related publicity/marketing materials; and
  • that they will not rig votes or otherwise act dishonestly.

Final Nominees in Canada may also be required to correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question posed by the Promoter at a mutually convenient time prior to being awarded any prize in the final round. To be Final Nominees, Creators must confirm the above by 12:00 GMT on 15 January 2021. Where a Creator is unable to confirm the above by 12:00 GMT on 15 January 2021, the next top Creator, or Creator of a Creation, in that category will be eligible to be included on the final shortlist and will contacted. Responses must be received by 23:59 GMT on 16 January 2021. By responding, Creators are agreeing to be bound by these rules. Creators will be contacted via an email to the email address linked to their PSN account. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for any responses that are not received for any reason. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify a Creator if their conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Impy Awards.

Judging & Voting#

The Final Nominees will be announced at 9AM PST on 28 January 2021 on indreams.me. For CoMmunity Categories, the Dreamiverse can begin voting for their favourite Final Nominees from 9AM PST on 28 January 2021. Each member of the Dreamiverse should only vote once for each award category. In the event that it is discovered by the Promoter that more than one vote has been submitted by a member for each award category, the Promoter reserves the right to declare all votes submitted by such a member to be null and void. Voting will close on 4 February 2021 at 11:59PM PST. The Final Nominee with the most votes in each CoMmunity Category wins, subject at all times to confirmation by the Promoter, as applicable. In the event of a tie in any CoMmunity Category, the Creations or Creators will be submitted to the panel of five judges who are judging the competitive Impy Award categories and the decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final. Odds of winning a CoMmunity Category Impy Award will depend upon the number of eligible votes received by each Final Nominee in each CoMmunity Category; however, such odds will be no less than one in five (1:5).

The CoMmunity Categories are:

  1. Most Helpful Dreamer -Dreams has an amazing coMmunity of teachers who create kits to build with, make online tutorials or stream their top tips. Who takes the prize for the most helpful dreamer?
  2. CoMmunity Star -This award could belong to a streamer, a creator, a curator, a fan-site editor – you name them, and we’ll put the list together!
  3. Best Curator -Collections in the Dreamiverse are key to helping uncover hidden gems, or displaying your interests front and centre. Whose Collections have helped you discover your favourite Dreams creations, or given you the assets to put the finishing touches to your own?
  4. Most Improved Dreamer -Which dreamer has upped their Dreams game from their first creation till now? This award celebrates someone whose skills have noticeably improved.
  5. Hidden Gem Creator -Is there a creator hiding away that you’d love to see up in the spotlight? Maybe you stumbled upon their creations by accident? Now's your chance to give them their moment.
  6. Hidden Gem Dream -Which creation deserves its time in the sun that it may not have had yet? Have you uncovered a hidden treasure in Dreams?
