P. J. Daniels Discusses Writing Queen of Black Sails

Queen of Blacks was written on a whim. Let me explain.
Before P. J. Daniels made his debut, he hadn't had much luck finishing a book. He'd start many, but always give up before reaching the half way point.
This was the pattern he was following until a female friend of his mentioned wanting to be a pirate in a story.  He loved talking stories and ideas with creative people,  so naturally this inspired him to start writing.
Originally, Queen of Black Sails was supposed to be a short story, but P. J. Daniels enjoyed the world so much he let it expand into something more.  Admittedly, he did base the main character on his friend, and even used an anagram of her name for the character.
Unfortunately, P. J. Daniels and her stopped talking before he finished writing Queen of Black Sails, so it sat, unfinished, for years, until he found the inspiration to continue it. With the support and encouragement of his aunt and (then) girlfriend, he decided to release Queen of Black Sails to the public.
