On June 4, reports from an exclusive media site suggested that K-pop group SF9 will soon be making a comeback. They will return in early July with a summer album. But comeback excitement soon turned into worry when fans realized that they will be promoting as a 6-member group only.
Zuho, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, Jaeyoon, Dawon, and Chani are part of the album. Youngbin and Inseong, the group's two oldest members, are currently serving in the military. On the other hand, Rowoon will not be part of the album or its promotional activities as he has other commitments and will be busy with drama shooting.
In November, last year, SF9 concluded their Turn Over series with the release of their tenth mini-album, Rumination. With their comeback scheduled in July, the group is expected to return with a new series and storyline.
Their fandom was not happy with this revelation and demanded that the band’s agency, FNC Entertainment, managed Rowoon’s schedules better. Instead of recording the album without him, necessary adjustments should have been made so as to ensure that his schedule does not overlap. He is part of SF9 before he is an actor, said fans on Twitter.
“I’m right about FNC they don’t think Rowoon is necessary as part of SF9 anymore & want him to walk on his own now and only retaining the SF9 name, if they think otherwise they would have waited for him to finish his filming which he did near the end of May & prepare together,” wrote a fan in series of tweets.

Fans are now waiting for an official statement from the group's company. They need more details about the comeback, Rowoon's participation, and more.
