I have a really odd version of this album. For one thing the runout on one side is KMBT 3262 C5RS 7576-1, but the label says side 2 and has the listings for the songs on side 2 (the songs played are side one). And side two runout is KMB-T-3262 C5RS 7577-2 with the label for side 1 affixed. Anybody have any thoughts about what's going on here? Thanks.

This is a stunning album, and my personal favorite of Wonder's early-mid 1970's string of masterpieces. This 1973 pressing sounds really nice to me, warm and full with good separation and terrific depth to the low end. My copy is very quiet and plays flawlessly.

Album Revolution # 3:

I know, as usual I have to go against the grain.....

While everyone thinks "Songs In The Key Of Life" is "Stevie Wonder's" best album, I beg to differ, because HERE IT IS!!!, in "Innervisions".....

Like "Talking Book", it continues having "Stevie" (along with "Malcolm Cecil and "Robert Margouleff") creating very Electronic Keyboard heavy classics...Also like "Talking Book", this album talks just about everything....This album is also a total Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate Crown Jewel....

It starts off with "Too High", another of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE "Stevie Wonder" joints... It is a sad story about a Girl losing her life to Drugs (a story we see unfortunately SO MANY times!!!!!!) The Electronic Keyboards just command the track, along with "Stevie" KILLING it on Harmonica, and some outstanding background Vocals ("Jim Gilstrap", "Lani Groves" and "Tasha Thomas")....

"Visions" has 'Stevie" guiding the Keyboards in a surreal fashion, with some great Guitars by "Dean Parks" and "David T. Walker" ("Malcolm Cecil" also GETS DOWN on Bass)....

"Living For The City" is a DOCUMENTARY!!!! The story of the struggle of Black life in the Inner City is MIND BOGGLING!!!!

"Golden Lady" is a total Woman's anthem...The infectious Keyboard cords just sends SHIVERS down your spine, with "Stevie's" Vocals, just taking the song to another level...

The second side starts with the foot stompin' "Higher Ground"...."Stevie" had no problem expressing his quest for Spirituality...

That also went for "Jesus Children Of America", accompanied by a "Funk" driven Keyboard track...

"All In Love Is Fair" is an absolutely beautiful Slow Song, with "Stevie" just laying it out Vocally!!!!!

The Super Groovy, Super Classic "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing", is a ABSOLUTE STANDOUT!!!! The Piano driven track is accompanied by a 'Salsa" inspired Beat (and it will make you shake what your Mama gave ya!!!!!)...

The absolute perfect closer in "He's Misstra Know-It-All", is a story of a Guy who just has to be in the middle of everything....Again, laced in Piano, this song fades perfectly to the end of the album (as if it was fading into the sunset)....

To me personally, this album is the pinnacle of the artistry of what "Stevie" wanted to accomplish...Even how the album was Produced was STUNNING!!!!! Even though the other albums were Produced in a similar way, with these songs, the sounds just took a whole different meaning.....

Every time I play this album, I can't help but to think about my Mother...This was one of the first albums by "Stevie" that she PUMPED into me....

I know I'm going to get butchered for this one, but this is MY FAVORITE "Stevie Wonder" album!!!!!!!
