HUGE private jets have flown in to a rural airport in Central Utah yesterday & last night
HUGE private jets flew into our small and rural Central Utah county yesterday and last night. I didn't even know our airport could handle this kind of large jet traffic. I have never seen aircraft this size before here. There was lots of air traffic in the sky yesterday. Lots of jets going from East to West (like from Denver to Los Angeles). No jet trails going North and South.

We have had an unbelievable amount of out of state license plates for the last few weeks as well. I had a post about that last week.
There are so many strange things going on around Central Utah.

Last Friday we went on a picnic down through Bryce Canyon National Park. It was so quiet. It should be crazy with traffic the week before Labor Day. I actually wanted to see how many out of state vehicles where in the Panguitch, UT area. It looked like it does in January - dead and quiet. One of my customers in Reno told me that he heard on his news that Bryce Canyon was shut down. I'm not far from there and I have not heard anything of the sort, but I don't watch a lot of tv.

As the jets were coming in, they would circle around the valley here 3, or 4 times and then land. We are kind of in a hole surrounded by mountains. I have not seen hardly any air traffic since March, so you could hear them coming and see them. One is jet black with an A, or B on it. One is a cream color with orange detailed paint. One is red and white. They're great big private jets. My daughter told me 3, or 4 more came in through the night. She could hear them coming in, she was up with her newborn. They're parked in a Federal part of the airport used for Forest Service fire helicopters and fire mitigation efforts. They take up most of the airport parking on one side.

I was talking to my mail lady on Saturday. She told me that just in our South County area, 16 new residents from CA have started mail service on the South County mail route in the last few months. She has 2 new residents from CO last week.

There are lots of strangers among us in Central Utah right now and it means something, I just don't know what...

Now we’re talking op

Thanks for heads up

Just an FYI

And FBO that says International usually has a 2 mile runway

Meaning big jets can land there

Gotta get down quick, but they can do it

Thanks for heads up

Which airport?
[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

I'm guessing Moab or Green River? But if you say Hanksville this got even more interesting...

Very interesting thank you for taking the time to share. A lot has been made of californians moving to already populated cities, or towns, but it would make sense to see rich folks get together and just populate an area that has no or few people. Bad news really for places like where you live, it is amazing country there.

Good luck OP. They screwed the Pacific northwest, they'll screw Utah too. Better lay rules down now.

OP, if you get on flightradar24 you can see what kind of planes they are, where they flew from and who owns them.

Another fun plane identifying website is ADS-B Exchange.
Who does your thinking?

We are not a 2 mile runway and I know little about air travel. They were circling over our valley coming in lower and lower and lower. They all came in from the East. It made a ruckus - e
I don't even know how they landed here, they are huge.

In the rural area I grew up there are tales of a Skinwalker.
There is an old mining town that used to be called Hiawatha. My family used to deer hunt in the area. My dad would tell stories about a Skinwalker that roamed the area and it used to scare me to death. I have not heard this term used since I was young. I don't know what you're meaning, but the word Skinwalker is a scary name from my childhood - the thing nightmares are made of!

I'm wondering if the noise my daughter heard last night might have been that they were flying out of here. She thought it sounded like more jets were coming in. I'm curious to ride to town later this afternoon to see if there are more of them, or less of them at the airport...

Last time Tepper Air made a mystery flight (gold/weapon drop) it was over Saudi airspace. Then on 8/31 Jared's plane was close to some big explosions on the Tel Aviv to UAE in the same flight pattern.

Thanks for the info OP.
Is this near Little Cottonwood Canyon by any chance?

I work for a charter company out of SLC. The jets are bringing people in for a family reunion at a ranch that is near Bryce Canyon. I used to fly the owner's private jets. Very nice people and nothing to be worried about.

The owner lives in SoCal but has a ranch there in Bryce for him and his family. He is doing what we all would do if we could...

All I see per map via satellite is Richfield municipal

HVE airport code

They can land a big jet

Have to do it quickly , full thrust

Hence the noise

God only knows who’s meeting there

Or why, the Southwest is a very mysterious place

Is it the ranch on the East side of Mount Dutton?
It's big and secluded.
When we done our picnic to Bryce Canyon, we circled around Johns Valley (it's called) back into Antimony, UT and then back home. There was alot of traffic at that ranch - way more than I've ever seen. We stopped at the Widsoe cemetery to visit some family graves and we were watching all the weird traffic, but the highway was quiet going from Bryce to Antimony and Bryce Canyon was dead quiet - eerie quiet for this time of the year. It was just the dirt roads that were so busy around Bryce Canyon and surrounding area.
